What’s your why?
My family is the reason why I do the things I do. They are my motivation in life. They are the reason I get up early in the morning (the kids are the reason why I wake up at night! My Fitbit tells me I get an average of 6 hours of broken sleep every night)
What do you love about your job?
Death and funerals is a taboo subject in our culture and I love speaking to people about what I do. Client's see that I am passionate about what I do and they love it. The fact I do the whole end of life planning i.e. doing your Will to your funeral to probate, people find it facinating, especially the funeral part of my role.
What do you do outside of work?
I spend a lot of time with my kids. I always try and make sure I'm there for bath time and story time and try and do the school run atleast 4 times a week. I also love giving back so I go to schools and give motivational talks about life after education and what options students have. Some people call me a networking ninja as I love meeting new faces and see how I can help them. In addition to this I have my own networking group called Bundeh in Business which competes with my wife's group Bindis in Business (we're very competitive). I thoroughly enjoy a good obstacle run and I am looking to do the Rat Race next year - 200 obstacles over 20 miles!! There's a lot more I do outside of work so if you want to know more just email or call me.
What’s your favourite food?
I love pathooray sholay. Or as my wife says sholay pathooray! Which one is correct??
What’s your favourite book?
I read lots and lots of books. It's hard to narrow down which is my favourite. But the one book which changed my life is The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. It's about the law of attraction and if you haven't read it, I'll quite happily give you mine.
What’s your favourite movie?
I don't get time to sit and watch a movie in one sitting because of the kids. But one movie I watched years ago which I love is ' A Time to Kill' starring Samuel L Jackson and Matthew McConaughey. Carl Lee (Samuel L. Jackson) seeks violent revenge after his 10-year-old daughter is brutally assaulted. Lawyer Jake Brigance (Matthew McConaughey) has to save him from Death Row, against mounting pressure from both the Ku Klux Klan and the Civil Rights Movement. Watch it if you haven't seen it!
Do you have any regrets in life?
I wish I went travelling after university but I got married to my wife at the young age of 24. If I went travelling then, I would probably be single and working for corporate company and wouldn't have my beautiful children but I'm glad how my life turned out. So it's not really a regret is it??
What's the worst thing you did as a child?
It was my sister's parents evening at her secondary school and as my mum went to sit down, I pulled the chair away from her and she fell on the floor in front of a room full of people!!!! Yes I was little rascal back in the day...
What is one thing you can have in life?
I would love to have a full 8 hours of sleep! I have two daughters aged 7 and 3 and a son who is 14 months old. My youngest two still wake up evey night and my wife and I are like two passing ships at night and wake up in the kids bed in the morning!
Are you a morning or a night person?
Even with my lack of sleep, I'm definitely a morning person. I wake up at 5am every morning, have breakfast then get to the gym for 6am. Health is wealth afterall.
